After a number of years' absence due to the pandemic, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande is delighted to be welcomed back to the Rosey Concert Hall's season together with the Zürcher Sing-Akademie and an exciting line up of solists.

Chosen in 1972 as the official hymn of the European Union, the melody « Ode to Joy » celebrates peace between nations and the human race. An impressive programme that embodies the entire volume of Beethoven’s work.

The Ninth Symphony adds to the history of the symphony thanks to it’s unusual length and the incorporation of a choir and four vocal soloists to sing Schiller’s poem. Beethoven innovates once again by creating a new musical form and at the same time issuing a tremendous call for hope for the world.

Choisi en 1972 comme hymne officiel de l’Union européenne, le thème de l’ 'Ode à la joie' célèbre la paix entre tous les peuples et pour tout le genre humain. Un vaste programme qui fut le credo de toute la vie de Beethoven à travers plusieurs de ses œuvres.

La Neuvième Symphonie élargit l’histoire de la symphonie par sa longueur inusitée et par un effectif incorporant quatre solistes vocaux et un grand chœur pour chanter le poème de Schiller. Beethoven innove une fois de plus en créant une nouvelle forme musicale tout en lançant un fantastique appel d’espérance pour le monde.

L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande se réjouit de retourner au ﻿Rosey Concert Hall avec la Zürcher Sing-Akademie et de brillants solistes.
