As part of the 8th NDI Sopot Classic International Music Festival, the audience had the opportunity to listen to four concerts with different programs. The idea behind the organizers was the interest of both classical music connoisseurs and reaching audiences who are still discovering the fascinating world of classical music. On August 4, the festival was traditionally opened with the Inaugural Concert at the Sopot Forest Opera. The Orchestra of the Polish Chamber Philharmonic in Sopot, conducted by Wojciech Rajski greeted the audience with an overture to Giuseppe Verdi's opera Joan of Arc. However, the real madness in the audience began when Piotr Beczała entered the stage. On August 7, the Concert of Polish Music took place in the Concert Hall of PFK Sopot, during which the Polish Chamber Philharmonic in Sopot performed with the Austrian pianist Ingolf Wunder, winner of the 2nd prize at the 16th International Piano Competition Frederic Chopin. We heard Wojciech Kilar's 2nd Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, 1st Piano Concerto in E minor, Op. 11 by Fryderyk Chopin and Sinfonietta per archi by Krzysztof Penderecki. In the church of St. Jerzy in Sopot, on August 9, the British band Voces8, specializing in a capella performance, performed. The group performs extensively throughout Europe, North America and Asia, performing an extremely wide spectrum of compositions: from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary pieces. The group presented the same repertoire to the Sopot audience. The festival solemnly ended on August 11 at the Forest Opera in Sopot. The Final Concert "Under the Sky of Paris" was a proposal addressed to lovers of the repertoire straight from the Seine. The Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot performed on the stage of the Sopot amphitheater, in a threefold enlarged composition - together with the best guest musicians from orchestras from all over Poland. The orchestra conducted by maestro Wojciech Rajski performed the most popular classical and entertainment pieces, commonly identified with France and French artists. Recognized and respect
