Experience the conductors of tomorrow try their hand with a full symphony orchestra and a challenging repertoire.
When you study music, you have your instrument to practice on. When you are a conducting student, you need an orchestra to practice with, and therefore the regional orchestras always perform once a year for conducting students from the Kgl. Danish Conservatory of Music.

It is not often that you get the opportunity to look directly into the engine room of the symphony orchestra and see for yourself what role the conductor plays in the expression, emotions and dynamics of the music - not to mention the orchestra's interplay. It is an educational, entertaining and very special experience, both for the students and for the audience.

What is special about this concert is that the young conducting students will be allowed to conduct two completely new works by composer students from the Jutland Conservatory of Music, Niklas Brandenhoff and Catalina Lazurca.

Also on stage is the Faroese saxophonist Kristina Thede Johansen, who also studies at the Jutland Conservatory of Music - in the soloist class.

The concert is presented by the students' study lecturer, the experienced conductor Giordano Bellincampi, who also gives the audience a few words along the way.

Oplev morgendagens dirigenter prøve kræfter med et fuldt symfoniorkester og et udfordrende repertoire.
Når man studerer musik, har man sit instrument at øve sig på. Når man er dirigentstuderende har man brug for et orkester at øve sig på, og derfor stiller landsdelsorkestrene altid op en gang om året for dirigentstuderende fra Det Kgl. Danske Musikkonservatorium.

Det er ikke ofte man får mulighed for et kig direkte ind i symfoniorkestrets maskinrum og ved selvsyn kan erfare, hvilken rolle dirigenten spiller for musikkens udtryk, følelser og dynamik – for ikke at tale om orkestrets sammenspil. Det er en lærerig, underholdende og helt særlig oplevelse, både for de studerende og for publikum.

Særligt for denne koncert er, at de unge dirigentelever får lov at dirigere to helt nye værker af komponiststuderende fra Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium, Niklas Brandenhoff og Catalina Lazurca.

Med på scenen er også den færøske saxofonist Kristina Thede Johansen, som ligeledes studerer ved Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium – i solistklassen.

Koncerten præsenteres af de studerendes studielektor, den erfarne dirigent Giordano Bellincampi, som også giver publikum et par ord med på vejen.
