The piece Peer Gynt was adapted by Marianne Pousseur and Enrico Bagnoli into a minimal performance with two actors, a pianist and a choir of three singers.

For their Peer Gynt , Marianne Pousseur and Enrico Bagnoli start from one of the best-known masterpieces in theater and music history: the play by Henrik Ibsen and the score by Edvard Grieg. For this production, Peer Gynt was reduced to two actors, a pianist and a choir of three singers. Pear Gyntis a fable about humanity and opportunism, about responsibility and betrayal. From world to underworld, from Egypt to Morocco, Peer goes in search of his own fortune and experiences the most bizarre adventures. At the same time a folkloric fairy tale and a strange satire, this 'opera' opens up a whole range of theatrical possibilities: from suggestive dreams to real confrontations between the characters. Using projections, light and sound, the young hero's adventurous life journey and his search for his mysterious lover Solveig are brought to life. The result is a complex polyphony of voice and text, music and video, light and sound.

Marianne Pousseur en Enrico Bagnoli vertrekken voor hun Peer Gynt van een van de bekendste meesterwerken uit de toneel- en muziekgeschiedenis: het stuk van Henrik Ibsen en de partituur van Edvard Grieg. Voor deze productie werd Peer Gynt gereduceerd tot twee acteurs, een pianist en een koor van drie zangers. Peer Gynt is een fabel over menselijkheid en opportunisme, over verantwoordelijkheid en verraad. Van wereld tot onderwereld, van Egypte tot Marokko gaat Peer op zoek naar zijn eigen fortuin en beleeft hij de meest bizarre avonturen. Tegelijk een folkoristisch sprookje en een vreemde satire, opent deze 'opera' een waaier aan theatrale mogelijkheden: van suggestieve dromen tot reële confrontaties tussen de karakters. Met behulp van projecties, licht en geluid worden de avontuurlijke levensreis van de jonge held en zijn zoektocht naar zijn mysterieuze geliefde Solveig tot leven gebracht. Het resultaat is een complexe polyfonie van stem en tekst, muziek en video, licht en geluid.
