Gustav Mahler: Urlicht (Des Knaben Wunderhorn) for baritone & wind octet with double bass

The international project in the field of classical music was created in close cooperation between the German baritone Peter Schöne and the leading Czech chamber ensemble PhilHarmonia Octet Prague. A characteristic element of this ensemble is the fact that its members are prominently profiled as first-class solo players.
The premiere of Gustav Mahler's song cycle The Boy's Magic Horn for baritone, wind octet and double bass, arranged by Tomáš Ille, was performed in January 2020 in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum as part of the ČSKH Czech Philharmonic Chamber Series. The song cycle is supplemented by arrangements of selected parts from Mahler's symphonies. The author of these transcriptions is the founding member of the ensemble, bassoonist and member of the Berlin Philharmonic, Václav Vonášek.

Mezinárodní projekt na poli klasické hudby vznikl v úzké spolupráci německého barytonisty Petera Schöneho s předním českým komorním ansámblem PhilHarmonia Octet Prague. Charakteristickým prvkem tohoto souboru je fakt, že se jeho členové výrazně profilují jako prvotřídní sóloví hráči.
Premiéra písňového cyklu Gustava Mahlera Chlapcův kouzelný roh pro baryton, dechové okteto a kontrabas v úpravě Tomáše Illeho zazněla v lednu 2020 ve Dvořákově síni Rudolfina v rámci komorního cyklu ČSKH České filharmonie. Cyklus písní je doplněn o aranže vybraných částí z Mahlerových symfonií. Autorem těchto transkripcí je zakládající člen ansámblu, fagotista a člen Berlínské filharmonie, Václav Vonášek.
