What if JS Bach hadn't set the suffering of Christ to music, but instead focused on the persecution of queer people? Bach didn't have a chance because queer people were deeply despised in Europe in his time. Luckily things are different today, which is why Thomas Höft, Ārt House 17 and an illustrious team of soloists take on Bach's St. John Passion and overwrite it with a completely new text. Not to belittle the biblical passion, which doesn't appear at all, but to tell a completely different one
