The RCM Wind Orchestra and Chamber Choir unite to perform Vaughan Williams's Five Mystical Songs, as part of the composer’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

This set of songs, with text by the 17th century metaphysical poet George Herbert, explores spiritual themes. Led by the baritone solo for the first four songs, the chorus is then
released in the fifth and final song, 'Antiphon', a glorious hymn-like movement.

To complement this work, the ensemble also performs two world premieres by RCM composers Jon D Nelson and Anian Wiedner.
