Here is a very different soprano voice: strong, dark, with body and density, that of a spinto, which also announces a kaleidoscopic program inaugurated by four songs by Barber, always so pleasant, followed by pieces on Walt Whitman by an adopted American like Weill; and, in a prodigious leap, the Poem in the form of songs by Turina, a varied and colorful work, and the famous Six Castilian songs by Guridi. Then, the trip to South America to be enveloped by the air and the melodiousness of Guastavino. From the keyboard that good pianist that is Julius Drake will shine.
