or May 19, 2023, composer and conductor Berislav Šipuš (former director of the Zagreb Philharmonic), on the occasion of his 65th birthday, prepared an exceptional program.

The evening begins with his youthful work, written only for a large string orchestra, which carries within it strong echoes of romantic rapture, composer's introspection and powerful dramatic accents, all of which will erupt a little later in one of the most beautiful concertos for violin and orchestra in the history of Western European music. , a kind of requiem, a lament for a little girl whose young life will end too soon, but her image and memory will reach our days, through the timeless music of Alban Berg... and then, the central event of this concert: Mahler's A song about the Earth, dedicated to Life and Death at the same time, through the voices of a Woman and a Man, sings about the rapture of life and the fear of mortality..... carried away by the wonderful and unique music, maybe we too will reach Eternity....... but if we really want there,the composer (Mahler) tells us, we must allow ourselves to be guided in life only by Love....Forever.

Za 19.svibnja 2023. skladatelj i dirigent Berislav Šipuš (nekadašnji ravnatelj  Zagrebačke filharmonije), u povodu svojeg 65. rođendana, priredio je izniman program.

Večer započinje njegovim mladenačkim djelom, pisanim samo za veliki gudački orkestar, koje nosi u sebi snažne odjeke romantičnog zanosa, skladateljske introspekcije i moćnih dramatskih akcenata, što će sve zajedno malo kasnije buknuti u jednom od najljepših koncerata za violinu i orkestar u povijesti zapadno europske glazbe, svojevrsnom rekvijemu, tužbalicom za jednom djevojčicom čiji će se mladenački život prerano ugasiti, ali će njezina slika i sjećanje na nju doprijeti i do naših dana, kroz svevremensku glazbu Albana Berga...... i onda, središnji događaj ovog koncerta : Mahlerova Pjesma o Zemlji, posvećena istodobno i Životu i Smrti, kroz glasove jedne Žene i jednog Muškarca,  pjeva o zanosu životom i o strahu od smrtnosti.....poneseni čudesnom i neponovljivom glazbom, možda i mi dostignemo  Vječnost.......ali, ako zaista tamo želimo,  poručuje nam skladatelj (Mahler), moramo dopustiti da nas u životu vodi samo Ljubav....Zauvijek.
