Welcome to Picnic Performances! Tonight, New York City Opera presents a newly-created, 90minute version of Verdi's masterpiece, Rigoletto.

Giuseppe Verdi’s thrilling perennial favorite tells the tragic story of the Duke of Mantua, his hunchbacked court jester Rigoletto, and Rigoletto’s daughter Gilda. Conducted by Constantine Orbelian, this 90 minute performance will feature some of City Opera’s brightest stars as well as members of the City Opera orchestra.
