The performance was created with the support of Východoslovenská energetika, as Košice, a member of the international energy concern RWE.

One of the most famous constants of the Italian repertoire, the opera Rigoletto, premiered in 1851 and was written based on Victor Hugo's play "Král sa zábava". The play itself, and later its operatic adaptation, is - among other things - primarily a critical probe bringing the image of vulgar and obscene society in contrast to the unconditional love of a father and daughter - which is why she was under very strong pressure from the censorship of the time. And it is this "lowness" and wretchedness - perhaps only with a less soiled coat - that is a synonym that persists to this day.

Predstavenie vzniklo s podporou Východoslovenskej energetiky, a.s. Košice, člena medzinárodného energetického koncernu RWE.

Jedna z najslávnejších stálic talianskeho repertoáru, opera Rigoletto, mala premiéru v roku 1851 a napísaná bola podľa divadelnej hry Victora Huga „Kráľ sa zabáva". Samotná hra a neskôr aj jej operné spracovanie je – okrem iného – predovšetkým kritickou sondou prinášajúcou obraz vulgárnej a obscénnej spoločnosti v kontraste s bezvýhradnou láskou otca a dcéry – aj preto bola vo svojej dobe pod veľmi silným tlakom vtedajšej cenzúry. A práve táto „nízkosť" a úbohosť – azda len s menej pošpineným kabátom – je synonymom, ktoré pretrváva aj do dnešných čias.
