The early-music performance group Lautten Compagney Berlin teamed up with the two-hundred-year-old Milan-based marionette troupe Carlo Colla & Figli for this 2014 performance at the Ludwigsburg Palace Theatre. The singers were confined to the pit, from which they gave voice to their two-foot onstage avatars.
