Dvořák's Rusalka is far from just a romantic fairy tale. On the contrary, it reveals a number of symbolic and psychological meanings that are imperceptible at first glance, it depicts not only the battle of sincerity with hypocrisy and betrayal, but also the eternal battle of light and darkness, the dream of eternity and the reality of mortality. Although the main character is a water fairy, her heart is also full of deep human feelings - desire and love. She is actually still alone - she has to make her own decisions and deal with the tragic consequences of her decisions. Dvořák's opera is full of dazzling musical beauty and belongs to the theater works that will appeal to every viewer looking for an answer to life's most complex questions. The production of this enchanting romantic work will be a beautiful and engaging theater for the whole family.

Dvořákova Rusalka nie je zďaleka iba romantickou rozprávkou. Naopak, odkrýva množstvo na prvý pohľad nebadateľných symbolických a psychologických významov, zobrazuje nielen súboj úprimnosti s pokrytectvom a zradou, ale tiež večný súboj svetla a tmy, sna o večnosti a reality smrteľnosti. Hlavná hrdinka je síce vodná víla, no jej srdce je zároveň plné hlbokých ľudských citov – túžby a lásky. Je vlastne stále sama – sama sa musí rozhodovať i potýkať s tragickými dôsledkami svojich rozhodnutí. Dvořákova opera je plná oslnivej hudobnej krásy a patrí medzi divadelné diela, ktoré oslovia každého diváka,  hľadajúceho odpoveď na tie najzložitejšie životné otázky. Inscenácia tohto očarujúceho romantického diela bude krásnym a pútavým divadlom určeným pre celú rodinu.

Rusalka ist die Geschichte einer Wassernixe, die mit ihren Gefährtinnen und ihrem Vater, dem Wassermann, in einem Waldsee lebt. Sie sehnt sich danach ein Mensch zu werden, um die Liebe für sich zu entdecken. Die Hexe, hilft ihr, aber unter der Bedingung, dass sie stumm bleibt und falls sie die Liebe verlieren sollte, muss sie als Irrlicht in den See zurückkehren. Ein Prinz verirrt sich im Wald, er begegnet Rusalka und verliebt sich in sie. Rusalka erwidert seine Liebe und sie folgt ihm in sein Schloss. Nach einer Weile wird ihrer der Prinz überdrüssig. Die verzweifelte Rusalka vertraut sich dem Wassermann an und der schwört Rache. Dem Prinzen wird sein Irrtum zu spät bewusst, er findet Rusalka im Wald, umarmt sie und stirbt in ihren Armen.
 
Dvořáks Oper ist erfüllt von leuchtender musikalischer Pracht und zählt zu jenen Theaterwerken, die die Zuschauer weltweit berühren. Die Inszenierung in der Regie von Martin Kákoš ist ein wunderschönes und spannendes Märchen für die ganze Familie.
Wird aus Anlass des Jahres der tschechischen Musik aufgeführt.
