The Rusalky live in rivers that hide their crystal palaces underwater. Their gold and silver shine in the light of the sun or moon, and there is also no lack of pearl jewelry. On bright summer nights, the girls emerge from the water and play with the waves. They also go to the bank to pick flowers. In the evening they like to swing on slender trees and branches over the water, into which they lure careless hikers. They often run across meadows and fields, where they like to dance in the pale light of the moon. They love music more than anything.
