Sarah Maria Sun's expertise and versatility have long since ceased to be a secret. Already in 2012, the series NDR dedicated the new work to her own portrait concert. Grandmaster Dieter Schnebel appreciates the "high-performance soprano" so much that he explicitly composed the piece Yes I Will Yes for her based on the monologue of Molly Bloom from the final chapter of James Joyce's world-class novel Ulysses.

The monologue shows the thoughts of Molly Bloom, the protagonist's wife, as she sits in bed at night reflecting on her life. With relentless openness, Molly talks about her husband, her lovers, girlfriends, the overly flirtatious maid, grief, sex and menstrual cramps. Her monologue is vulgar but also poetic, sad, but also extremely entertaining. Nevertheless, Molly Brown's answer to all the impositions of life remains the emphatic Yes.

On 2.2.2022 100 years ago, one of the most important works of world literature was published with the novel "Ulysses" by James Joyce and celebrates its anniversary this year.
