We are thrilled to announce a truly special event, one night only: Sondra Radvanovsky, the premiere soprano of our time, will present a tribute concert to the legendary diva, Maria Callas on Thursday, January 18th, 2024. The concert will take place in Vancouver at the Chan Centre for Performing Arts. 

This exclusive Callas centenary tribute performance will be Ms. Radvanovsky’s only North American date. Ms. Radvanovsky, whose vocal brilliance and dramatic presence have often been compared to Callas, is considered one of the premiere Verdi sopranos of our time and a leading interpreter of bel canto and verismo. This will be an unprecedented opportunity to hear her in the repertoire most associated with the late diva, Maria Callas. Ms. Radvanovsky’s one night only Callas tribute concert is already sold out at the Paris Opera, but she has most graciously agreed to perform a second concert with Opera West in Vancouver. Ms. Radvanovsky will be accompanied by the Festival Orchestra of Vancouver under the direction of maestro, Tania Miller. 

Vancouver audiences will not want to miss the chance to hear this incomparable artist, in what will surely be one of the musical highlights of 2024. The legacy and magnificence of opera divas lives on and we invite you to be a part of it.
