"All men will become brothers!" This saying from Schiller's Ode to Joy, which Beethoven so impressively set to music in his Ninth Symphony, cannot be repeated often enough. Ironically, in the last two years, which represented a crucial test for mankind, the concert halls often had to stand empty. Cohesion, solidarity and community spirit had to be maintained without the common concert experience in the minds, the hope for the next year is enough to console the difficult times - characterized by loneliness, existential fear and longing.
After the traditional concert at the end of 2020 and 2021 had to be canceled due to the pandemic, it will reunite the orchestras of our theater for the first time in 2022. Another novelty is that General Music Director Ruben Gazarian conducts the Ninth Symphony in Altenburg and Gera.
