In the closing concert of the season, eight soloists, six choirs and a symphony orchestra gather in the large concert hall at Musiikkitalo.
The colossal character of his eighth symphony came to Gustav Mahler in a flash. After completing the first drafts, Mahler knew he was composing something that would make his earlier works seem like mere preludes. The orchestra will be joined by young musicians from the LEAD! project.

Konsertsäsongen avslutas med att åtta solister, sex körer och en massiv symfoniorkester plus en orgel samlas i Musikhusets stora konsertsal.
Gustav Mahler såg i ett enda inspirerat ögonblick sin åttonde symfonis hela kolossala gestalt. Då han finslipat de första skisserna visste han att han arbetade på något som fick alla hans tidigare verk att framstå som endast förspel.
