Internationally acclaimed pianist Yoko Kikuchi, who has performed with the Osaka Symphony Orchestra on numerous occasions, is ready to perform the Beethoven Concerto Cycle. Speaking of Kikuchi, she is the first Japanese winner of the Mozart International Competition (2002) and is a pianist with a high reputation as a rare Mozart player. The solid form and transparent tones born from his extraordinary concentration are sure to make the world of Beethoven even brighter. Under the skillful conduct of Permanent Conductor Kazufumi Yamashita, the dramatic emotion-filled Piano Concerto No. 3 and the gentle and graceful Piano Concerto No. 4 gracefully decorate the first cycle.

大阪交響楽団と幾多の共演を重ねてきた国際的ピアニストの菊池洋子が、“ベートーヴェン協奏曲チクルス”に満を持して臨みます。菊池と言えば、日本人初のモーツァルト国際コンクールの覇者（2002年）にして、稀代のモーツァルト弾きとして世評高きピアニスト。その並々ならぬ集中力から生まれる確固たる造形や透徹した音色は、ベートーヴェンの世界を一層輝かせてくれることでしょう。常任指揮者の山下一史による練達の指揮のもと、劇的な情感に満ちたピアノ協奏曲第3番と柔和かつ優美なピアノ協奏曲第4番がチクルス第1弾を華々しく飾ります。
