The renowned Swedish conductor Ola Rudner, who has built up a close relationship with the Osaka Symphony Orchestra, will make a guest appearance and take on the challenge of the Russian program. Symphony No. 6 "Pathetique", the last masterpiece of Tchaikovsky's life written at the end of the Romanov dynasty. Then, the young German pianist Mario Haring will deliver the energetic solo performance of "Piano Concerto No. 3," which was premiered in Chicago just before the establishment of the Soviet Union and which shines with Prokofiev's unique lyricism and modernism. The two masterpieces composed before and after the Revolution, which marked a major national turning point in Russia, will undoubtedly be a night that will leave you with a variety of thoughts.

大阪交響楽団と共演を重ね、親密な関係を築き上げてきたスウェーデン出身の名指揮者オーラ・ルードナーが客演し、ロシアン・プログラムに挑みます。ロマノフ王朝末期に書かれたチャイコフスキー生涯最後の大作である交響曲第6番「悲愴」。そして、ドイツの若手ピアニスト、マリオ・ヘリングの気勢溢れる独奏でお届けする、ソ連の樹立直前にシカゴで初演されたプロコフィエフならではの抒情性やモダニズムが光る「ピアノ協奏曲第3番」。ロシアの国家的大転換点となった革命前後に作曲された2つの名作に、様々な想いを馳せる一夜となるに違いありません。
