The opera monodrama The Diary of Anne Frank by the Russian composer Grigory Frida is based on the authentic notes of a Jewish girl from Germany. During World War II, she and other family members hid in Amsterdam for two years, but their hiding place was revealed and almost all perished in the concentration camp. The salvaged manuscript of the diary after the war came out as a book that has been translated into dozens of languages. The opera tells Ann's story from a birthday party to hiding, experiencing first love to the Gestapo's raid and dragging the whole family to a concentration camp. 

The project was created with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Slovakia, the Embassy of Israel in Slovakia and the Goethe Institute, in cooperation with the SLOVART Publishing House.
