Scotland: Monica Bacelli, celebre mezzosoprano, con il Trio Metamorphosi, eccellente formazione cameristica, danno vita a un programma
originale e molto particolare: uno straordinario “viaggio” attraverso le
melodie popolari scozzesi rilette da Haydn e Beethoven.
Nata a Chieti, Monica Bacelli vince giovanissima il Concorso Belli di Spoleto che la porta a debuttare al Teatro Sperimentale nelle Nozze di Figaro e
in Così fan tutte. Da allora la sua carriera si è sviluppata nelle principali istituzioni teatrali e concertistiche italiane e internazionali collaborando con
direttori quali Abbado, Chailly, Chung, Gatti, Mehta, Muti, Ozawa, Pappano e Rattle. Vincitrice del Premio Abbiati, il suo repertorio comprende
ruoli mozartiani e rossiniani, ma si estende dall’opera barocca all’opera
francese dell’Otto-Novecento.
Il nome del Trio Metamorphosi è un inno al processo continuo di cambiamento e intende sottolineare la progressiva crescita di un complesso
cameristico sempre pronto a mettersi in gioco con la volontà di creare
prospettive di unicità in ogni performance. I tre musicisti vantano anche
altre precedenti esperienze cameristiche di primissimo piano: in duo o in
quartetto d’archi, nonché collaborazioni con artisti del calibro di Magaloff, Pirès e Meneses. Si sono esibiti in numerose fra le sale più prestigiose
del mondo. Il Trio incide per Decca, etichetta con la quale ha tra l’altro
realizzato il cd “Scotland”, in collaborazione con Monica Bacelli.

Scotland: Monica Bacelli, famous mezzo-soprano, with the Trio Metamorphosi, an excellent chamber ensemble, create a program
original and very particular: an extraordinary “journey” through the
Scottish folk melodies reinterpreted by Haydn and Beethoven.
Born in Chieti, Monica Bacelli won the Belli di Spoleto Competition at a very young age, which led her to make her debut at the Teatro Sperimentale in the Marriage of Figaro and
in Cosi fan tutti. Since then his career has developed in the main Italian and international theater and concert institutions collaborating with
directors such as Abbado, Chailly, Chung, Gatti, Mehta, Muti, Ozawa, Pappano and Rattle. Winner of the Abbiati Prize, her repertoire includes
Mozart and Rossinian roles, but extends from Baroque opera to opera
French of the nineteenth-twentieth century.
The name of the Trio Metamorphosi is a hymn to the continuous process of change and intends to underline the progressive growth of a complex
chamber music always ready to get involved with the will to create
perspectives of uniqueness in each performance. The three musicians also boast
other previous chamber music experiences of the highest order: in duo or in
string quartet, as well as collaborations with the likes of Magaloff, Pirès and Meneses. They have performed in numerous of the most prestigious halls
of the world. The Trio records for Decca, a label with which it has among other things
made the cd “Scotland”, in collaboration with Monica Bacelli.
