" Twice through the heart" is the psychogram of a woman who was brutally abused by her husband for years, finally killed him in self-defense and who still struggles with her experiences for a long time. Night after night she is haunted anew by the memories of her dead husband and relives what happened to her in her marriage in terms of horrible - but also happy moments - without being able to break away from it.The work is based on a real event: Amelia Rossiter, over 60 years old, was sentenced to death after She killed her husband with two stab wounds in the chest. The previous abuse and threats only became known to the public years later, Rossiter had remained silent about it in court. These events shocked the Scottish author Jackie Kay so much thatthat she processed the case in a cycle of poems that eventually inspired the composer Mark-Anthony Turnage to write an extraordinary one-act play.

At first glance, Dinah and Sam lead a life of contentment in " Trouble in Tahiti ": The idyllic home in the suburbs, Sam earns very well and their child is also in the best of health. But the shiny facade of comfortable suburban life has become brittle - despite the outward prosperity, both feel unhappy. The relationship also suffers as a result: teasing and arguments characterize everyday married life. Sam seeks distraction and confirmation in his work and in sports, Dinah tries to fathom the inner emptiness of the therapist and suffocate it in consumption; only the ideal world of the dream factory promises a way out. The escape from reality fails. At the end of each day the question arises: Do you really want to continue like this?
