This is one of Müpa Budapest's oldest and most noble traditions: the first day of the new year is spent in the spirit of the great Austrian composer Haydn. Our internationally renowned conductor Ádám Fischer has long made it his mission to impart the passion for classical music to the next generations at as early an age as possible. His partners this year are the Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra and the Hungarian Radio Choir, along with three outstanding soloists: Rita Rácz, Zoltán Megyesi and Marcell Bakonyi. Explaining with context and commentary the excerpts these artists will sing in Hungarian will be the conductor himself. Go ahead and trust your ears: Ádám Fischer and his fellow musicians aim to help school-age children approach the seemingly abstract world of listening to music not as something unknown and terrifying, but as a rich and inviting realm to explore. The thematically varied and carefully selected excerpts from Haydn's oratorio The Creation offer a perfect introduction to both the new year and to the genres of symphonic music and oratorio. The secret lies in the composer's refined simplicity: when evoking the creation of the new world, he chooses colours from his rich palette that prompt young people and their parents alike to gaze at and realise that there are few things more wonderful than being alive.

Ez a Müpa egyik legrégebbi, nemes hagyománya: az új esztendő első napja a nagy osztrák zeneszerző, Haydn jegyében telik. Nemzetközi hírű karmesterünk, Fischer Ádám régóta küldetésének tartja, hogy a klasszikus zene iránti rajongást minél előbb átadja a következő generációknak. Partnerei ebben idén az Osztrák-Magyar Haydn Zenekar és a Magyar Rádió Énekkara, továbbá három kiváló szólista, Rácz Rita, Megyesi Zoltán és Bakonyi Marcell. Az általuk magyarul énekelt részleteket a karmester kommentálja, magyarázza és kontextusba helyezi. Hagyatkozzunk bátran a fülünkre: Fischer Ádám és muzsikustársai célja, hogy a zenei hallás elvontnak tűnő világa ne ismeretlen, félelmetes területként, hanem hívogató, gazdag országként jelenjen meg az iskolás korosztály számára. Haydn A teremtés című oratóriumából gondosan válogatott, változatos tematikájú részletek tökéletes bevezetést nyújtanak az új évhez és a szimfonikus zene, illetve az oratórium műfajához egyaránt. A komponista rafinált egyszerűsége a kulcs a titokhoz: az új világ teremtésének megidézésekor olyan színeket választ gazdag palettájáról, amelyeket nézegetve fiatalok és szüleik egyaránt rádöbbenhetnek arra, hogy kevés csodálatosabb dolgot tudunk megnevezni annál, hogy élünk.
