To stage the immortal opera by Giuseppe Verdi, the eminent director, Honored Artist of Russia Irkin Gabitov, who has been serving at the Mariinsky Theater since 1988, was invited to the capital of the Southern Urals.

The concept of the visual design of the performance was developed by People's Artist of Russia Vyacheslav Okunev. They worked not only in the theater workshops, but also in three workshops in the city to realize the director’s large-scale plan. About 200 costumes were made, and each of them is a real masterpiece, and in order to recreate the luxurious interiors of the 18th century on stage, the theater turned to an art wood workshop, where they created exclusive furniture in the Baroque style.

Love passions and palace intrigues, a noisy celebration and inevitable tragedy - the opera “Un ballo in maschera” enjoys constant popularity throughout the world and is considered one of the pinnacles of Giuseppe Verdi’s work.

Для постановки бессмертной оперы Джузеппе Верди в столицу Южного Урала был приглашен именитый режиссер – заслуженный деятель искусств России Иркин Габитов, который с 1988 года служит в Мариинском театре.

Концепцию визуального оформления спектакля разработал народный художник России Вячеслав Окунев. Над воплощением масштабного замысла постановщика трудились не только в цехах театра, но и в трех мастерских города. Было сшито около 200 костюмов, и каждый из них – настоящий шедевр, а чтобы воссоздать на сцене роскошные интерьеры XVIII века, театр обратился в художественную мастерскую по дереву, где создали эксклюзивную мебель в стиле барокко.

Любовные страсти и дворцовые интриги, шумный праздник и неминуемая трагедия – опера «Бал-маскарад» пользуется неизменной популярностью по всему миру и считается одной из вершин творчества Джузеппе Верди.
