«Война и мир. Наташа и Андрей» – первый совместный творческий проект Московского театра Новая Опера имени Е.В. Колобова, Молодежной оперной программы Большого театра России и Мастерской Брусникина.

Особенность проекта в том, что он воплощается исключительно силами молодых артистов и постановщиков. Главные партии исполнят участники Молодежной оперной программы Большого театра России. Приглашение молодых солистов возвращает нас к первоисточнику, роману Л.Н. Толстого, в котором на момент знакомства Наташе Ростовой 16 лет, а Андрею Болконскому 31 год. Музыкальный руководитель и дирижер Тимур Зангиев впервые выступит в Новой Опере, а режиссер Алексей Мартынов (Мастерская Брусникина) дебютирует в оперном жанре.

В этой версии оперы «Война и мир» сюжетная линия сфокусирована на истории Наташи Ростовой и Андрея Болконского. В проект вошли девять из тринадцати картин, написанных С.С. Прокофьевым. Прозвучат все семь «мирных» картин: от знакомства в Отрадном и первого бала Наташи Ростовой со знаменитым вальсом до сцены с письмами в кабинете Пьера Безухова. Оперу завершат Восьмая и Двенадцатая картины. Именно в этих сценах, перед Бородинским сражением и в темной избе в Мытищах, Андрей Болконский вспоминает о Наташе. В финале спектакля, в час последней встречи героев перед смертью князя, вальс Наташи прозвучит пронзительным рефреном, напоминающим об их несостоявшейся любви.

Поскольку из всей оперы выбрана камерная линия, сценическое воплощение будет соответствующим. Формат semi-stage предполагает лаконичное художественное решение без масштабных декораций. Ключевым визуальным элементом станет видеопроекция в сочетании с мизансценами и хореографическими эпизодами.

"War and Peace. Natasha and Andrey" is the first joint creative project of the Moscow Novaya Opera Theater named after E.V. Kolobov, the Youth Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia and the Brusnikin Workshop.

The peculiarity of the project is that it is implemented exclusively by young artists and directors. The main roles will be performed by participants in the Youth Opera Program of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia. The invitation of young soloists returns us to the original source, the novel by L.N. Tolstoy, in which at the time of meeting Natasha Rostova was 16 years old, and Andrei Bolkonsky was 31 years old. Musical director and conductor Timur Zangiev will perform for the first time at the Novaya Opera, and director Alexey Martynov (Brusnikin Workshop) will make his debut in the opera genre.

In this version of the opera War and Peace, the storyline focuses on the story of Natasha Rostova and Andrei Bolkonsky. The project included nine of the thirteen paintings painted by S.S. Prokofiev. All seven “peaceful” scenes will be performed: from the meeting in Otradnoye and Natasha Rostova’s first ball with the famous waltz to the scene with letters in Pierre Bezukhov’s office. The opera will be completed by the Eighth and Twelfth Scenes. It is in these scenes, before the Battle of Borodino and in a dark hut in Mytishchi, that Andrei Bolkonsky remembers Natasha. At the end of the play, at the hour of the last meeting of the heroes before the death of the prince, Natasha’s waltz will sound like a piercing refrain, reminiscent of their failed love.

Since the chamber line was chosen from the entire opera, the stage version will be appropriate. The semi-stage format assumes a laconic artistic solution without large-scale decorations. The key visual element will be video projection in combination with mise-en-scenes and choreographic episodes. The performance will feature dancers from the Moscow State Choreographic School named after L.M. Lavrovsky.
