We Are Opera  is a concert where young choir singers from Kulturskolan get a unique opportunity to perform on Malmö Opera's big stage together with professional singers.

During the day, the students have a workshop with Rickard Söderberg where they get the opportunity to refine the evening's program. In the evening, they give a concert together with Malmö Opera Choir.

The program includes music composed by opera giants such as Mozart, Verdi and Puccini as well as contemporary composers such as Elton John and Benny Andersson. We dare to promise that it will be grand when all the choirs together in front of Circle of Life from Lejonkungen and Min astrakan from Kristina from Duvemåla !

Our goal is for the young musicians to come to the Opera to sing opera and be inspired to continue making music. Maybe one day they will be our new colleagues?
