La Traviata – Die Impro-Oper
“Improv... what?!” You probably know this: it's one of those evenings after which you get into the car or the subway with a smile on your face, briefly forgetting about the stressful everyday life and even while you're in bed, you pull the blankets together over your feet, you have the images and sounds of the evening in your head. Lively and entertaining – LaTriviata’s improvised operas! LaTriviata's operas are created and exist at the same moment - directly in front of the audience. Nobody has ever heard or sung the improv opera before. And no one will ever experience these operas again. Witness unique opera history! Various formats ensure an entertaining evening that you will certainly not forget in a hurry. Let yourself be operated! “I actually always wanted to direct…” Would you like to be a director or librettist one day? Opera maker, just for one evening? Create an improvised opera evening together with the artists from LaTriviata! Don't worry, you don't have to play the high C yourself. Instead, you can be creative and specify locations, feelings, characters or props that you would like to experience in your opera. Neither the “orchestra with ten fingers” nor the singers have ever heard or sung the opera, which the audience can eagerly await. Every evening is unique! Have you always wanted to write your own play? With us you can try out how an idea takes its course on stage and becomes a completely new opera literature... "Yes, who does something like that?" Since 2002, the classically trained ensemble has regularly offered improvised music theater. A Germany-wide unique, musical fun at the highest level! Four singers and a pianist make every evening completely new. Free from any fear of contact, the soloists throw themselves into the audience's instructions and simultaneously compose, compose, sing and play arias, duets, choirs or entire operas that can be funny, bizarre or dramatic, but are guaranteed to never be boring, predictable or even planned . The art of improvisation played a major role in classical music, but has almost been forgotten in this context today. The audience specifies topics that the ensemble takes up and works on - this creates a direct relationship between the artists and the audience. The singers and the pianist make use of all the musical and dramaturgical means that the opera has to offer. LaTriviata is in no way based on musical set pieces, but rather invents the entire music in the moment and in the presence of the listeners. Nothing is prepared or even agreed. Anyone who has ever been able to experience how four singers and a musician master with bravura the musical challenges of a quartet composed on the spot - the text and music of which only emerge at the moment of singing - will be completely addicted to the risk of improv opera be.
