The Csárdásfürstin is considered one of the greatest masterpieces of operetta with an exhilarating   wealth of igniting melodies, rousing rhythmic verve and thrilling dramatic accents. Cheerful, playful and lively scenes constantly alternate with melancholic, cheerful-comic and passionately excited parts.

A dream not only for the audience, but also for every ensemble, and made for the Neue Operetta Vienna! Young, great voices, lively choreographed dance scenes and thrilling joy in playing will make this Csárdás princess blossom. The musical director, Laszlo Gyüker, has already conducted the work with great success at the Vienna Volksoper and at the Léhar Festival Bad Ischl and has been chief conductor of the Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra since 2022.

Sylva Varescu, star of the Budapest Orpheum, gives her farewell performance before going on tour to America. She tries in vain to suppress her love for Edwin, a prince who doesn't want to lose her and makes her a promise of marriage in front of everyone watching. But his parents have an aristocratic connection in mind for him: with Countess Stasi, a childhood friend of Edwin's. Turbulent complications follow, culminating in a surprising revelation about Edwin's mother's past...
