Biography
Nominated as "Singer of the Year 2020" by leading German opera magazine "Opernwelt" for the title role of Don Giovanni, the radiant German baritone Birger Radde thrills both audience and critics alike with his voice's "suggestive expressiveness" and "impressive character developments." In the coming season Birger will sing Jochanaan in “Salome” at the Janacek Theatre in Brno, Wolfram von Eschenbach in “Tannhäuser” at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, Falke in “Die Fledermaus” at the Teatro Bologna, Donner, Gunther in “The Ring of the Nibelung” at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and Melot in a new production of “Tristan and Isolde” at the Bayreuther Festspiele.
