Abbey Diana Engelmann

Abbey Diana Engelmann is a young operatic soprano whose dynamic voice is amplified through kinesthetics. Most recently, she performed the role of Flora in Britten’s “The Turn of the Screw” with Chicago Summer Opera, Nella in Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi”, and Despina in Mozart’s “Cosi Fan Tutte” with Millikin Opera Theatre. She has also performed in “Die Zauberflote”, “Dido and Aeneas”, “Trial by Jury”, and “Songs for a New World”. Currently you can find her performing as a Supernumerary with the Boston Lyric Opera and performing the partial roles of La Contessa from Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” and Fedra from Cavalli’s “L’Egisto” in Longy School of Music’s Opera Experience LIVE! Engelmann holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and certificate in dance from Millikin University.
