Biografia
Soprano Alicia Woodberry has been praised as “an insightful musician and a captivating performer.” She began this season as Gertrude in Hansel und Gretel with Shakespeare Opera Theatre, and will later end the season as a Cedar Rapids Opera Young Artist. With Cedar Rapids Opera, Alicia will perform the role of Miss Titmouse in Edwin Penhorwood's opera Too Many Sopranos. Woodberry will be featured in a concert of Garth Baxter art songs in April 2024 in conjunction with his opera A Pregnant Pause. She has been commissioned to record 12 of Mr. Baxter's pieces in May 2024. In 2023 she won 2nd place at the NATS Mid-Atlantic Regional Competition. She joined the roster of Annapolis Opera and Maryland Lyric Opera in 2022 and made her film debut in the opera Lily by Garth Baxter. She has performed
