View cast and crewHe was born in Resolo, Italy on 05/12/1924 and passed away in Milan on 19/12/1987. He studied singing initially in Milan and then in Parma under Nino Martini. He made his debut in 1952 at Spoleto Festival in Verdi’s opera The power of fate [La forza del destino]. In 1958 he made his debut as as Ramfis [Aida] at the Verona Arena Festival, where he danced many times after that (1961-63, 1967-69, 1971-72, 1981). In 1953, he appeared at Teatro La Scala in Milan as Count Monterone [Rigoletto] and has sung there regularly since then. His performance as Boris [Boris Godunov] in the Opera of Rome was met with international acclaim.
