Arcady is an acclaimed ensemble dedicated to the mentorship of emerging artists and the performance of new Canadian music by director Ronald Beckett and other Arcady composers.  Arcady has performed three operas and produced three CDs of Beckett’s work. The organization combines outstanding young Canadian performers with established professional instrumentalists and singers. The ensemble has also established a reputation for its energetic and imaginative performances of early music and is the regular chorus for Boris Brott’s National Academy Orchestra of Canada.337101_480282528666990_1032929242_oFounded and directed by Beckett, Arcady offers 25 to 30 performances in Southwestern Ontario each year. It offers to its presenters a variety of programs ranging from small recital programs to full scale choral-orchestral concerts.

The majority of Arcady’s performances are based on its five CDs: A Baroque Messiah (1999), Welcome Yule! (2001), A Beckett Miscellany (2002) and Beckett’s opera Ruth (2007). It also produced a popular Christmas CD for Ruby Productions (Peace on Earth – 2000). Arcady recordings have received extensive radio play on classical stations in North America and Europe.

Arcady est un ensemble acclamé, qui est dédié au mentorat des artistes émergents et la présentation de musique nouvelle et canadienne par Ronald Beckett, directeur, et les compositeurs émergents d’Arcady. Arcady a présenté trois opéras et a produit trois disques compacts avec les compositions par Beckett. L’organisation mélange des jeunes interprètes exceptionnels avec les chanteurs et les musiciens instrumentaux professionnels et établis. L’ensemble a aussi développé une réputation pour les présentations énergétiques et imaginatives de la musique ancienne, et Arcady est le chœur habituel pour le National Academy Orchestra of Canada de Boris Brott.

Fondé et dirigé par Beckett, Arcady offre 25 à 30 présentations dans Ontario Sud-Ouest chaque année. Arcady offre aux les présentateurs une variété des programmes qui vont entre des programmes petits des récitals aux concerts grands avec chœur et orchestre complet.

 C’est rare de trouver un compositeur qui a les dons équivalents de ses talents de techniques et aussi les aspectes expressives et communicatives de composition. À mon avis, la travaille de Beckett est une contribution importante et originale à la culture canadienne et à la musique contemporaine en général. »
