The choreographic creations of Marko E. Weigert and Dan Pelleg have made guest appearances abroad in 14 countries (with the support of various Goethe Institutes and German consulates), in 26 German cities nationwide, and have been acclaimed by the press and audiences. After 12 years as directors of the independent Berlin-based wee dance company, they were appointed in 2011 to lead the dance division at the Gerhart-Hauptmann-Theater Görlitz-Zittau, where the company has since become a permanent fixture.

Together, Weigert and Pelleg have brought 20 full-length dance premieres and 5 revivals to the stages of the GHT (2 of them with guests, 3 choreographed by guests) and are responsible for the choreography of 24 premieres of musical theater and drama at these theaters.

In addition to the audience award at the "20th International Choreography Competition" at the Opera House in Hannover in 2006, Pelleg & Weigert repeatedly received final nominations such as for the "Kurt-Joos-Förderpreis" Essen (2007), the "Ursula-Cain-Preis" (2017 & 2019), were competition finalists at the dance competition "no ballet" in Ludwigshafen (2006 & 2007) and were nominated as "Best Company 2007" for the "Dance For You Magazine".

Dan Pelleg's professional career began at the age of 16 in an multidisciplinary way, when he began training simultaneously in classical and modern stage dance and also in classical singing. The Israeli high school diploma with performance subjects in physics and mathematics was followed by compulsory military service, after which, at the age of 21, he received a full scholarship for the Adi Lautman Interdisciplinary Program for excellent students at Tel Aviv University (under the direction of Prof. Yehuda Elkana) for a course of study focusing on musicology and linguistics. In addition to this, he received a special scholarship from the American-Israeli Cultural Promotion Foundation for the combination dancer/singer. At the age of 24, he was employed by the Ensemble Batsheva, where he danced for 2 years under the direction of Ohad Naharin and Naomi Perlov, and then relocated to Germany, where he still lives today.

In addition to his work with the wee dance company, Dan Pelleg has choreographed for opera soloists and choir at the Kiel Opera House, for the Ballet Vorpommern, together with Marko E. Weigert for the Tanztheater Görlitz and for the Ballet of the Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken, among others.

As a performer, Pelleg gained a wide range of acting and singing experience through engagements at the Freilichtspiele Schwäbisch Hall and collaborations with Sommer Ulrickson and other directors. Most recently, he appeared on stage with Ulrickson at 92Y in New York City alongside renowned cellist Alban Gerhardt and Madrid concertmaster Gergana Gergova.
