The American soprano, Dana Hanchard, enjoys a career that embraces many styles and genres of music. Her work in the Baroque field and in the popular and jazz idioms of the Americas has garnered much praise from audiences and critics alike. This season includes appearances with Reinhard Goebel and Musica Antiqua Köln in a USA tour singing solo virtuoso cantatas of George Frideric Handel, Antonio Vivaldi, and Georg Philipp Telemann. She appears also with Nicholas McGegan and the Washington Bach consort as the Queen of Sheba in G.F. Handel's Solomon and returns to San Francisco with Nicholas McGegan for her 7th season with the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra in J.S. Bach's Johannes Passion (BWV 245). Later this spring, Dana Hanchard will perform at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater in New York C
