Hong Kong born bass-baritone, Freddie Tong, has added over thirty roles to his repertoire. Based in London, Freddie made his debut with English National Opera in 2009, singing the role of Monterone in Rigoletto, under the baton of Stephen Lord. Since, he has returned to sing Nourabad in The Pearl Fishers under the baton of Rory Macdonald, and created the role of The Cardinal in The Duchess of Malfi, a new work by Torsten Rasch. In 2012, Freddie created the role of The Bong Tree in Anne Dudley’s The Owl and The Pussy Cat with The Royal Opera House for 2012 London Olympic Festival.
