Féach ar an bhfoireann agus an fhoireannBefore his exceptional voice quality brought him to many of great opera centers, Hendrik Vonk played trumpet in several orchestras, graduated in musicology at the University of Utrecht, and studied conducting and singing at the Conservatoires of Rotterdam and Utrecht. After participating in 1990 in the studio of Opera-Forum (Enschede, NL), he started his career as a Mozart- Belcantotenor, singing numerous leading- and comprimarioroles. In the following years Mr. Vonk developed into a dramatic tenor, under the tutelage of James McCray. Some of the highlights of his operatic career include: Don José in "Carmen", on tour through Germany with the opera of Krakow, Turiddu in "Cavalleria Rusticana" in the Hague, Boris in "Katja Kabanova" in Liege, and Laca in "Jenufa" in St Gallen
