Zurich, SwitzerlandBorn in 1995, Polish bass is a graduate from the Hochschule für Musik ‘Hanns Eisler’ in Berlin, where he studied with Prof. Martin Bruns and Prof. Dr. Michail Lanskoi. Whilst still a student, Hubert joined the International Opera Studio at Staatsoper Hamburg, taking on roles such as Alcindoro (La Bohème), Pistola (Falstaff), Montano (Otello) under Daniele Callegari, Brabantischer Edler (Lohengrin) conducted by Kent Nagano, and Dottore Grenvil (La Traviata). As of last season he is a member of the main ensemble at Staatsoper Hamburg, where he appeared as Crespel (Les contes d’Hoffmann), Colline (La Bohème), Bartolo (Le nozze di Figaro) and Zuniga (Carmen). Highlights for his upcoming season include Publio (La clemenza di Tito) conducted by Ádám Fischer and Oroveso (Norma) under Paolo Arri
