Biography
Inês Simões is a young lirico-spinto soprano whose versatility allows her to sing a wide repertoire, from baroque to contemporary music. A great contemporary music enthusiast, Inês Simões has premiered more than 10 works commissioned for her voice, highlighting composers Jamie Man, Jug Markovitch, Federic Neyrinck, Nuno da Rocha, Igor C. Silva, Daniel Moreira, Pedro Faria Gomes, Fátima Fonte and Miguel Azguime. She has worked with conductors such as Magnus Lindberg, Hannu Lintu, Paul McCreesh, Sian Edwards, Marcelo de Jesus, Nuno Côrte-Real, Rui Pinheiro and João Paulo Santos; directors Kristiina Helin, Olivia Fuchs, Max Hoehn, Claudio Hochmann, Ricardo Neves-Neves, Fernanda Lapa, Figueira Cid and Alexandre Lyra Leite.
