Dresden, GermanySoloist (Young Ensemble Semperoper) The South Korean tenor Jongwoo Hong is studying for his Master’s degree in Opera Singing at the Carl Maria von Weber College of Music in Dresden under Professor Lothar Odinius. He completed his Bachelor’s degree at Seoul National University with KS Prof. Seung-hyun Attila Jun. There, he gained his first experiences on the opera stage as Monostatos (»Die Zauberflöte«), Rinuccio (»Gianni Schicchi«), Nemorino (»L’elisir d’amore«), and Gaston (»La Traviata«). His repertoire also includes, among others, the »Coronation Mass in C Major« by W. A. Mozart and »Salve Regina in G Minor« by J. Haydn. During his studies in Dresden, he was a finalist in the Concorso Internazionale »Città di Pienza« and a semifinalist in the Concorso Internazionale »Gaetano Fraschini«
