Joowon Chung

The Korean soprano, Joowon Chung, discovered as a child her love for singing. After attending a school with a musical profile, she took up singing studies at the National University of Seoul with Hyunju Yoon. In Germany, she continued her studies at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden. There she attended the classes of Professor Christiane Hossfeld and Professor Christine Hesse. In 2011 she introduced her interest in Baroque music to the Department of Early Music at the Hochschule für Musik Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Leipzig. There she attended the master-class with Gundula Anders, graduating in February 2016 with the exam.
