Dusseldorf, GermanyThe soprano Lavinia Dames, who was born in Göttingen, was a student of the early support for the musically gifted (IFF) at the Hanover University of Music until 2010 with Prof. Gerhard Faulstich. She completed her singing studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Gabriele Lechner and Peter Edelmann, graduating in 2014 with distinction. Lavinia Dames is a prizewinner of the Cantilena and the Ferruccio Tagliavini Singing Competition and winner of the Carinthian Sparkassen Music Scholarship. She has received multiple scholarships from the Bayreuth Young Musicians Foundation and, in the 2015/16 season, from the Dortmund Mozart Society. The young soprano gained her first stage experience at the Richard Wagner Festival in Wels. This was followed by performances in the
