Lyric Theater of Crete (LYTHEC) is a cultural non profit organisation founded in 2018. It is based in Heraklion and aims to promote classical singing and lyric theater in Crete, by organizing recitals, concerts, seminars and opera productions. President and Artistic Director of LYTHEC is the classical singer Manos Christofakakis and General Secretariat is the conductor Ioannis Protopapas. LYTHEC is registered in the portal of cultural institutions of the Ministry of Culture of Greece.

Το Λυρικό Θέατρο Κρήτης (ΛΥΘΕΚ) είναι ένας πολιτιστικός φορέας με έδρα το Ηράκλειο Κρήτης και κύριο στόχο την προώθηση του λυρικού τραγουδιού και θεάτρου με αφετηρία την Κρήτη, μέσω της διοργάνωσης παραγωγών όπερας, ρεσιτάλ, συναυλιών, σεμιναρίων κλπ. Στοχεύει επίσης στην ανάδειξη του κρητικού πολιτισμού μέσα από τη δημιουργία πρωτότυπων παραγωγών που αντλούν έμπνευση από την υπάρχουσα πολιτιστική δημιουργία του νησιού. Επίσης, επιδιώκει τη σύμπραξη με φορείς από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό και την πραγματοποίηση δράσεων εντός και εκτός συνόρων.
