View cast and crewJapanese mezzosoprano Maria Koshiishi is an emerging artist, recently graduated from Dutch National Opera Academy. She has been acclaimed for a gorgeous color in her voice, her sensitive artistry and a unique stage presence in her wide-ranging repertoire that spans from the Baroque period to 21st century. She performed the roles of Pasqualita in John Adamo’s Doctor Atomic, Cesare in Graun’s Cleopatra e Cesare, Dritte Dame in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Cecilia March in M. Adamo’s Little Women (including Dutch premiere), Orlofsky in J. Strauss’s Die Fledermaus, and Armelinde in Viardo’s Cendrillon.
