Matilde Wallevik Mezzo Soprano In 2022-2023 Matilde performed Ulrica in Un Ballo in Maschera and Flora Bervoix in Traviata, both Verdi for the Danish Royal Opera conducted by Paolo Carignani. Other roles here include Berta in Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Kate Pinkerton and Suzuki in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, 3. Pige in Nielsen’s Maskerade, Auntie in Ruder’s Handmaids Tale and Jenny Girl in Weil’s Mahagonny. Matilde’s debut was as Dorabella in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte at the Tiroler Landesteater in Austria and she went on to sing Florence Pike in Albert Herring and Bianca in The Rape of Lucretia at the Britten-Pears Aldeburgh Festival.
