Swedish soprano Meta Powell made her debut as mezzo soprano at Drottningholm Court Theatre and Tèatre des Champs Elysées after studies at the Guildhall School of Music. She continued her career as a mezzo singing roles such as Dorabella,Cherubino, Hansel along with more obscure roles such as Afra (La Wally) Radka (Sarka),Helen (Helen of Braemore) Lisbe (Zemire et Azore) on stages such as Tèatre des Champs Elysées, Wexford Festival Opera, Holland Park Opera etc. While living in New York, Meta made the transition from mezzo soprano to soprano and made her debut there as Pamina in an off-Broadway production of the Magic Flute. While in New York, Meta was also a prize winner in the Gerda Lissner Vocal Competition. Meta has performed extensively on the concert stage throughout her career,
