Patrick Ruyters

Patrick Ruyters studied singing in Strasbourg and Düsseldorf, most recently with Prof. Konrad Jarnot. He received further artistic inspiration in master classes with, among others, Tom Krause, Grace Bumbry and Siegfried Jerusalem. The cooperation with Wolfgang Rihm, whose Wölfli-Liederbuch Patrick Ruyters sang during the 21. Europäischen Kulturtage 2012 with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie conducted by Christian Vasquez in Saarbrücken and Karlsruhe provided great insights in performing contemporary music. Patrick has a wide opera repertoire. He was on stage at the Theater Krefeld as Waldeshexe in Rusalka, and as Dr. P in M. Nyman's The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat with the Bochumer Symphoniker.
