Biography
Polina Liiv is a Finnish opera singer of Russian origin. She was born in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia, Russia. Polina grew up in the Children's Opera Studio in Krasnoyarsk Opera House, where she participated in 20 operas as a chorus as well as soloist for 10 years. Her first roles were: The Shepherd boy (Tosca), and Pierrot (Pinocchio). It gave her a great experience on stage and an acting school. Mrs.Liiv studied in St. Petersburg obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in the Opera Singing by Prof. Vsevolod Bogatyrev in 2018. Polina Liiv joined the Finnish National Opera in 2017/18. She made her house debut as Meg Giry (The Phantom of the Opera) and performed the roles of Sonetka (Lady Machbeth of Mtsensk).
