Adriana Lecouvreur lives for her art. With naturalness and intense play, the actress captivates her audience night after night. In addition to acting, her love is Maurizio. With his opera Adriana Lecouvreur , Francesco Cilèa takes a look behind the scenes and into the emotional world of a great diva . Alongside Puccini, Cilèa was considered a possible successor in the Verdi tradition. At the same time, his melodic and colorful score sometimes seems to anticipate the early film music.

Gianluca Falaschi returns to Mainz for the scenic implementation. The internationally sought-after stage and costume designer recently designed the costumes for Armide and Perelà and was twice named costume designer of the year. At Adriana Lecouvreur , he not only designs the stage and costumes, but also directs.
